چکیده
Upper Cauvery river basin, India Reservoir construction is one of the major contributors to changes in natural flow regime characteristics. This study aims understand hydrological alterations resulting from reservoirs and water abstraction upper regions basin. The impacts dams on regimes where data available only for periods after assessed. A landscape-based model, FLEX-Topo, used model flows contributed by upstream downstream areas four area. separate reservoir operation developed each reservoirs. Next, integrated with modelled at streamflow gauging station corresponding sub-basins calibrated. without are then compared using indicators degree which have been altered results indicate that modified their state following impoundment abstractions. Significant observed median monthly flow, 1-day minimum low pulses. Such information could provide a reference managers replicate regimes, help sustain biota thus contribute toward sustainable management basins India.

Decision-Making Under Uncertainty (DMUU) approaches have been less utilized in developing countries than developed countries for water resources contexts. High climate vulnerability and rapid socioeconomic change often characterize developing country contexts, making DMUU approaches relevant. We develop an iterative multi-method DMUU approach, including scenario generation, coproduction with st...

Background: Natural radiation is constantly present in the environment and is emitted from a variety of natural and artificial sources. It affects human body and environment. Materials and Methods: The activity concentrations of 238U, 232Th and 40K have been determined by Gamma ray spectrometer with an HPGe detector in sediments of Cauvery River, Tamilnadu, India. Results: The absorbe...
متن کاملHydrological Response to Climate Change for Gilgel Abay River, in the Lake Tana Basin - Upper Blue Nile Basin of Ethiopia
Climate change is likely to have severe effects on water availability in Ethiopia. The aim of the present study was to assess the impact of climate change on the Gilgel Abay River, Upper Blue Nile Basin. The Statistical Downscaling Tool (SDSM) was used to downscale the HadCM3 (Hadley centre Climate Model 3) Global Circulation Model (GCM) scenario data into finer scale resolution. The Soil and W...
متن کاملHydrological Evaluation of TRMM Rainfall over the Upper Senegal River Basin
The availability of climatic data, especially on a daily time step, has become very rare in West Africa over the last few years due to the high costs of climate data monitoring. This scarcity of climatic data is a huge obstacle to conduct hydrological studies over some watersheds. In this context, our study aimed to evaluate the capacity of Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission (TRMM) satellite d...
